Why can't I access my online store and how to fix it?

Help! I don’t know what’s happening but I get an error message when trying to access my store via the app and the website. Error message says ‘unable to access Elizaandtedbaby. It looks like you don’t have access to this store. Contact the site administrator for access.’

I can access my other shopify store ok.

Any suggestions?

Are you the account owner for this store? When did this error first start appearing? Is this a store you created yourself, or did you purchase the store from a developer?

Answering these queries will help me to determine what actions to take next in troubleshooting this issue for you. The first steps I always like to try are some local troubleshooting steps, in order to firstly rule out this being related to a device or browser problem:

  • Clear your cache and cookies on your browser. After this, completely reboot the browser.
  • Try on another web browser or an incognito window.
  • When using incognito, if you are still experiencing a display issue, confirm you have disabled browser extensions as these can change how the pages look.
  • Try another device or on the Shopify Mobile app.
  • Try another internet connection (example, switch to a cellular network on a phone rather than wifi.)
  • Ensure there are no pop ups being blocked in the web browser.
  • Ensure you do not have any firewalls or pop up blockers enabled on the device
