Why can't I connect my USD bank account or Stripe to Shopify Payments?

Shopify uses Stripe under the hood to operate Shopify Payments and that is fine. The problem is that Shopify Payments is so limited and does not provide all features that Stripe provides and Shopify does not allow people to connect their own Stripe accounts. I understand that you want people to use your solution so that you can make money but why do not you provide all features that Stripe gives?

For example, I live in Sweden, and in Shopify Payments I have the option to connect either a bank account in SEK or EUR. That is a problem for me as most of the payments that I receive are in USD and I have an USD bank account but you do not allow me to connect it.

So please give people the option to connect their account in any currency or let people connect their stripe accounts. This what I and many other store owners want.

Hi, @Almoptaker .

Thanks for posting your feedback to the Community Forums! We appreciate you taking the time to do so as it only helps us to improve.

I can definitely appreciate why you would prefer to be paid out in USD if that is the currency you are accepting the most. As you know, it isn’t something we currently offer our Swedish Shopify Payments users, however I will be providing this request to our developers on your behalf. While I can’t guarantee this will be added in the future, I can assure you the request will be formally documented.

If there is anything else I can help you with I would be happy to do so! If you would like to provide your domain, I would love to take a look at your store and provide any potential feedback!

They are all available with the latest third party solution, EasyPie Shopify Stripe Checkout.
