Hey all, My issue is the website is working perfectly but when I try to customize it the following error is showing to me. please see the screenshot. I cant customize my store anymore. Please help

We are sorry to hear you are having this issue, I would be happy to offer some suggestions moving forward. My first thought after looking at your screenshot would be a browser issue. Have you tried clearing your browser history/cookies/cache and refreshing your page? I would also recommend trying to log in via an incognito or private browser, do you still have the same issue after both these troubleshooting steps have been tried? You could also try accessing the customization page via another device like your mobile phone on data, rather than your wifi.
Another potential could be an issue with your primary theme, are you using a Shopify theme or a third-party theme? You could try viewing an unpublished Shopify theme to see if your customization options are available on a fresh theme. You can test this by heading to Online store>Themes>Theme Library>Explore free themes then hit Customize on the theme you choose to test:

Hey thanks for the information and walkthrough. Actually I tried clearing my history and cache too but didn’t work. Yes I’m using a paid Shopify theme. And I tried using another browser as well, same there as well ![]()

I am sorry to hear you are still experiencing this issue. What is the Shopify theme you are using called and have you done any third-party coding changes to it? If so, can you elaborate further on those changes you made? Did you check a fresh/Unpublished Shopify theme as I suggested in my previous post, if so, did you get the same error when trying to customize the unpublished theme?

What theme are you using for your shop? I searched “Gift cards” on your shop and was able to load all your gift card options, what is happening exactly on your end, can you share a link to the specific product you are having an issue with or tell me the name of the gift card? I look forward to hearing from you and will be happy to take a closer look after getting this further context.

Thanks for reaching out. We did not make any changes to coding. I was saying if Shopify made any updates. I am using 3rd party Premier theme but if you https://www.lavenderandblues.com/products/gift-cards and try selecting variant or click any where it is not going anywhere but processing. Please advise.

I see what you mean, thank you for clarifying that for me. You mentioned that you are using a third-party theme, are you having the same issue on an un-published Shopify theme? You can test this by heading to Online Store>Themes>Theme Library>Explore Free Themes then add a theme and click either Actions>Preview or Customize. Once you do this, you will be able to test to see if this gift card issue replicates in a fresh theme.
If the issue does not replicate, this means you have an issue with your primary third-party theme and I would recommend reaching out to your Theme’s developers to look into this further. It looks like the Premier theme is created by a team called Creative Market, you can reach out to them directly via their site here.
