In abandoned carts, I saw 2 customers whose payment could not be processed. It tells me “Unable to process a payment of … € EUR on Bancontact. Your payment cannot be processed for technical reasons. Please try again or use another payment method..”
Anyone have the solution? Thanks

To gather a bit of context, are any other third-party payment gateways affected during the checkout process? Could you also advise if the 2 customers were able to retry using an alternative payment method?
We have a resource on troubleshooting payment gateways that I would like to share. First, I recommend verifying the account credentials for Bancontact. Please double-check the account ID or security key and that the values are entered correctly.
Second, I suggest ensuring Bancontact has been set up correctly as a payment gateway on your store. You can verify this information or check for additional steps through the Bancontact website.
Once you’ve confirmed the above information, I recommend contacting Bancontact directly. The reason I suggest this is to ensure the settings are configured correctly to connect with your Shopify account and that any test mode settings have been disabled.
Lastly, if the issue still persists after contacting Bancontact, you can reach out to our support team via the Shopify Help Center. This is to ensure your account is authenticated so our team can provide you with account-specific information. Please be sure to provide the abandoned cart links and that you’ve contacted your third-party payment gateway.

Hello Victoria,
I don’t know if other gateways are affected because so far I only have payment by Bancontact. One customer tried twice and it was after the third time that he succeeded in paying, but for the other customer he tried twice and gave up.
The account number is correct. I use Shopify Payments for Bancontact so all is good.
I contacted Bancontact last week but I still don’t have a feedback from them…
