Why can't I select 'All products' when creating discount codes anymore?

I used to be able to choose “All products” when I created a discount code. Now I have to manually select every product in my store and it took forever. What happened?

Hi @vfromm ,

It is still totally possible to apply a discount to all products! Just make sure that all your products are included in a hidden collection (ie. not included in your menu unless you want it to be) so that you can select it when creating your discount code:

Remember too that you can also create automatic discounts so that discounts are applied automatically at checkout to the products or collection you want.

What is it you’re selling? And have you found discounts useful in getting those all-important conversions?

Andrew, I have another question. Is there a way or an app or an expert I can hire to help me create 100% discounts for all items in my shop? I sell patterns to stores and and instead of CDs, I would like to include discount codes for the different patterns and the buyer has to go to my site, register to purchase and then use the code for their digital download so they are not charged a second time for the purchase.

I’ll be honest @vfromm , I don’t think I’ve fully understood your question.

You can certainly create discounts for all the items in your shop by including all products in a collection and then selecting that collection when creating a discount. However, when you say 100% discounts, do you mean you want to make the products free if the visitor uses a specific discount code?

And what are “patterns”? Usually, if you are offering customers a digital download, you would use the digital downloads app. If this isn’t the solution to your issue, could you talk me through your business model a little more (including explaining what patterns are) so that I can better advise you, please?
