Why can't I view my online store while logged into my account?

Hi everyone, I’m still building my store, can someone please advise me as to why I cannot see my online store when I’m logged into my account?

It was working this morning and now when I click on view online store the page loads with the following -

Forbidden

You don’t have permission to access this resource.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any help would be very much appreciated from this novice…

Are you able to share with me a screenshot or screen recording of what exactly you are seeing? Can you also please share a link to your store front here? This will really help to guide me in my troubleshooting steps.

As a first line of steps to try, I would recommend some local troubleshooting steps in case this problem is being caused by a local device or browser problem. To rule this out, can you please try each one of the following steps:

  • Clear your cache and cookies on your browser. After this, completely reboot the browser.
  • Try on another web browser or an incognito window.
  • When using incognito, if you are still experiencing a display issue, confirm you have disabled browser extensions as these can change how the pages look.
  • Try another device or on the Shopify Mobile app.
  • Try another internet connection (example, switch to a cellular network on a phone rather than wifi.)
  • Ensure there are no pop ups being blocked in the web browser.
  • Ensure you do not have any firewalls or pop up blockers enabled on the device

They say;
Since your website is hosted somewhere else, please provide the following;

  1. CSR file generated from your hosting provider ( at least 2048 bits key )
  2. SERVER SOFTWARE used to generate the CSR

I am confused about this request, because if you purchased your domain from Crazy Domain and have not transferred the domain, then they are the domain host themselves? It may be worth reaching out to Crazy Domains directly to clarify this.

As for the CSR request - I believe this is requested to issue an SSL, which is something we at Shopify will provide for you once the domain DNS settings outlined here have been applied to the domain. Thank you!
