Under settings, the language still says it’s English as default and the categories used to be in English, they just randomly changed to Chinese and I don’t know how to change them back.

Your product categories have suddenly changed to Chinese and your language settings are still set to English in Shopify, it might be a glitch or an issue with the data. Contact Shopify Support to investigate the problem and help you resolve it

Having same problem and glad I’m not alone! I also briefly saw categories change to Spanish. Let’s hope it’s just a glitch!

I’m also having the same issue.
I’m frustrated with Shopify. they are making interface changes and things are just not working well. They need to go back to the way it was.

Having the same problem as well. Is this something that Shopify will be looking into and fixing? Sounds like a Shopify issue.

Having the same problem! Have also been trying to import new products but the the categories automatically changes into Chinese even though they were written in English
