Why does my debut theme show a 404 error for collections?

I’m using the debut theme and tried to add 3 collections to my store. I have added it to my navigation properly but when I try to click View, a 404 Error message appears instead, meanwhile the collection cannot be found on the storefront

To clarify, did you create these collections directly in your Shopify admin by following these steps? Then, once the collections were created, did you add them to your navigation by following these steps? In particular, make sure to follow step five and ensure that the link you’re attaching is a collection.

If you’ve completed the above steps already, it’s important to confirm that you’ve added the correct menu that holds your collections to your Debut theme. To double check this, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Shopify admin
  2. Click on ‘Online store > Themes’
  3. Click ‘Customize’ beside your Debut theme
  4. This will open the theme editor, where you can click ‘Header’
  5. Scroll down in the lefthand sidebar to the ‘Menu’ section
  6. Check to ensure that the menu linked here is the correct menu that you’ve added your collections to

Once that’s complete, I suggest clearing your browser cache or using Chrome Incognito mode to visit your site. This will help determine if the errors you’re seeing are cached on your device.

If the errors still appear though, can you please confirm where on your site you’re clicking ‘View’? If you can share a screenshot of this with me, as well as a link to your site, I can take a look at what you’re seeing, and also check to see if the 404 error appears on my end, too.
