Why does my new collections page mirror an existing one?

Hello,

I am trying to create a collections page but I’m running into a mirroring problem. Here is what I’m doing.

  1. I create a collection (x)

  2. I add this collection called (x) to my main menu.

  3. I go to customize this new collection page BUT when i click on the new collection (x) in the main menu, it sends me to an existing collection (y) instead.

I’ve tried to edit the page but any changes I do to the “x” page, just happens on the (y) page aswell. For some reason, any new collections I add just takes me back to the same (y) collection page. How do I fix this problem, I can create new collections but I can’t add a new collections page.

Hi @Easportzwithaz ,

Are you looking to customize each collection individually? If so, you need to create a new template for each collection and select the template in the admin collection, it will work fine.

Are you using Dawn theme?

You need to create a template before choosing it: go to Customize > Collections > Create template.
