Why are they making it so hard to delete an account? I don’t want to deactivate. I want to permanently delete the account. What the heck. The last post lead to no answer and only to some stupid waste of time place. The link for https://help.shopify.com/en/support/topic-select lead to a bunch of waste of time stuff. WHAT THE HECK!? WORST place ever. I will never recommend anyone to register here.

Sorry to hear that you have had a frustrating time trying to deactivate your store.
To fully close your store, please follow the steps below:
- From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Plan.
- Click Deactivate store.
- If you still want to deactivate, then click Deactivate store.
- Select a reason for the deactivation, and then click Continue.
- Enter your password, and then click Deactivate now.
Let me know if you get stuck on any of those steps as you try to do this.

"I don’t want to deactivate. I want to permanently delete the account."
do you not understand?
Once you deactivate, the store won’t be functioning anymore and you won’t be charged.
Is there a particular reason why you want to permanently delete?
