Hi @Renato12
If your business is eligible to use Shopify Payments then you will generally not have the separate option to use Stripe. Stripe is one of the banking partners that powers Shopify Payments so the requirements would be the same and you would not have to pay additional processing fees.
That being said, if you have an existing account with Stripe you can reach out to our live support team to request a review to see if that option can be made available. You can contact our live support through the Help Center.
Hey @Shay
Thank you for your answer, my concern is that I have a business registered in the UK and a stripe account also, but I don’t have UK residence, so I guess that Shopify payments will eventually ask me for tax ID or SSN, and I can’t provide that, so in this case is there any solution for me?
Thank you for those extra details! In this case I would recommend contacting our live support and let them know of your unique situation. They can then escalate this to our billing and payments team to review and see if you are eligible to have Stripe enabled on your store.
