Why isn't my domain directing to my online store correctly?

I have a domain purchased from Shopify. I just wanted the store to point to the domain. I did everything that was told (should be automatic). I made the domain name primary so it should direct there, but it does not .

Under domains is says that the domain is primary for the online store, but nothing happens when you go there.

I even reset the dns settings to make sure it was fresh. It shows the ip as 23.227.38.69 and even says shopify ip

It worked the other day and now just stopped. Any ideas would be great.

Hi, @sebastianr !

I’m sorry to hear you’re having an issue with your domain, I’m happy to help you out. As you mentioned, if this domain is the first domain that you add to Shopify, then it should automatically configure to be the web address that’s displayed to customers, so I want to help you get to the bottom of this.

Would you mind first sharing your domain URL with me? I can try accessing it myself and see whether I can figure out the problem. I also recommend resetting your DNS settings, which may resolve the issue and have the domain pointing to the correct destination. You can find the instructions on how to do so in this help document.

I look forward to helping you further!

The domain error is likely because your domain config was wrong. Or the security authentication of the domain is taking too long because your domain does not have the security.
