Automatic discounts work now but does not have the ability to add segments of customers. Ironically the random code option discount has the ability to add customer segments. So why not add the capability to automatic discounts? Please. Your customers have been asking for this for years. Search the terms.
@supremehqmoc , if you’re open to 3rd party apps, I suggest you try, Discount Bot, to let you apply automatic discounts to specific customers only based on customer tags. You can either apply the discounts to customers with specific tags and/or exclude other customers using tags as well.

We are a Nonprofit supporting Veterans and cannot afford the $30.00 monthly charge for a function that should be organic to #Shopify.
If you don’t have the budget to get an 3rd party app, then just use the code discounts and show the code on the storefront. If you’re just an NPO, it probably doesn’t matter that much.
