Because your email domain hasn’t been authenticated

In my notifications settings it says : Because your email domain hasn’t been authenticated, recipients will see your email as store+87453729015@shopifyemail.com. For better brand recognition, authenticate your domain and ensure your domain has a DMARC record.

When I hit authenticate an error message comes up. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be? I am just trying to authenticate my email domain.

Dmarc checker says the following.

Great Job! You have a valid DMARC record that provides visibility into the entirety of your email program(s) and helps ensure you meet email sending best practices.

  1. Access Your Domain Settings
  2. Locate Your DNS Settings
  3. Add the Required DNS Records
  4. Save Your Changes
  5. Verify in Shopify
  6. Test Your Email Delivery

Bonus Tips for a Smooth Process:

  • If you’re unsure where to add the DNS records, contact your domain provider’s support — they can guide you directly.
  • Shopify’s support team is also helpful if you get stuck.
  • DNS changes may take up to 48 hours to fully process, so patience is key.
