I recently opened an American LLC company with all documents and an EIN number. I reside in Thailand, and my Store sells only online. Can I add my Shopify address in The USA based on my company’s documents and registration address? I also have American Banks. Currently my store’s location is Thailand because the company was based in Thailand and now moved to LLC United States. I look forward to your reply.
There are multiple things here, 1. you may want to change the store address to United States from Thailand. 2. You want to add a new card linked to your bank in America. 3. You would want to change the billing currency from Thai Bhat to United States. 4. You may want to change the currency of the store to USD from Thai Bhat (if not already done).
If you have 0 orders in the store, changing the store currency should be fine at your end, but it will be difficult to change the billing currency and the store address and then adding the new card for payment to Shopify for the plan you want to select. Your store account may also get suspended if something goes wrong.
Best is to reach out to Shopify support and share the address you want to change to. They would do there initial verification and then would make the necessary changes for you.
Problem arises when there are discrepancies in billing currency, your IP, store address and the home location of the card you are trying to add, so we will suggest you to reach out to Shopify support in order to be safe and let them make the necessary changes.
