Hi, I am very new to shopify. I purchased my domain through them.
If I don’t like shopify after the first year, can i move my domain to another host - say wordpress for instance?

Generally, domains bought through Shopify can be transferred 60 days after purchasing the domain. Here’s a great resource: Transfer your Shopify domain out of Shopify you can use in the future.
I understand you’re fairly new and you’ll definitely get the hang out of things. To help you get started, Shopify offers a tool called Shopify Compass to give you full access to webinars, and other learning materials.
