Is there a “free” solution to bulk edit item descriptions?
I sell mainly on ebay and use Shopify as an online backup, plus use Inkfrog. The bulk editor does not work on ebay, so I am looking for a solution in Shopify. Thanks!

Shopify’s built-in bulk editor doesn’t have an option to edit the product descriptions in bulk but you can still import them by using a CSV file. You can check this article below on how to do this:

Take a look at Mixtable. Mixtable is a spreadsheet like Google Sheets, but with all Excel-style formulas and behavior. And it seamlessly syncs to and from Shopify. You can easily map your product descriptions to a column in order to bulk edit your Shopify store’s data.
What kind of products are you currently selling on your store? I understand you mainly sell on eBay and are looking for an app or solution within Shopify.

Another option you can look into for bulk editing product / item descriptions are the apps Ablestar Bulk Product Editor or Bolt Product Bulk Editor. Ablestar allows you to bulk edit product descriptions and titles, product prices, tags, inventory, meta fields and much more. Bolt Product also allows you to edit product titles, prices and lets you revert to the modified products to the original levels.
To view each apps plans and pricing feel free to click directly into the app and scroll to the bottom of the page where Pricing is available. I would recommend reading into each of the apps descriptions to see if it best suits your business needs.
