Thank you for sharing this in the community! I can understand not being able to login to your store to access your admin and other areas is not an ideal experience.
We truly appreciate your patience while our developers actively worked on this known issue. The issue with admins, checkouts and storefronts has since been resolved. If you are still experiencing problems logging in could you please try restarting your browser. Another suggestion is to try clearing your cookies and cache or launching your store on a different browser and try logging in once again. I’ll also share our Shopify Status page where active updates and service area status are displayed.

Some stores were unable to access the admin today, but this issue has since been resolved. We posted updates on our status page as well as on @ShopifySupport’s Twitter page.

Are you still experiencing this issue on your end?
There was an issue earlier today where stores weren’t able to access admins, checkouts or POS. Our developers have since pushed a fix however, so all systems should be back up and running.
If you’re still seeing the same error message you did from earlier today, are you able to try accessing your store via incognito mode or private browser window? If the issues still persist, you can also try logging in to your store from another device altogether, just so that we can rule out any device, browser, or caching issues.
When the issue was ongoing, our developers also updated the Shopify Status page to reflect the downtime that our merchants experienced. Feel free to bookmark that page, so that if you happen to run into any issues in the future, you can double check our status page to see if it was a Shopify-wide issue rather than an account specific one.

In regards to your website being up and running and customers not being able to place orders, did this issue occur today as well? Could you let us know if there are any issues at checkout or if you’re able to track these orders within your abandoned cart section of the admin?
If the issues persists with your customers not being able to place orders, I’d recommend reaching out to our Live Support via chat, email or requesting a call-back. Our Live Support team will be able to authenticate your account, share account specific details and see if they’re able to replicate the error. They can also have a look within your abandoned cart section to see how many orders were unsuccessful.

An issue involving storefront and admin access emerged earlier and this was why you were encountering problems with logging in and accessing your website. We posted about it on our Shopify Status page and @ShopifySupport Twitter page. Fortunately, the issue has been resolved so all systems are now operational. If you’re still unable to log in or access your website, you can clear your browser’s cookie and cache to fix them.
