Edit: The issue is on Google’s side. You can track their status here: https://status.cloud.google.com/

They are having a server error with Google Cloud, which powers file & image storage and parts of their API. Likely a bad update/fix that was pushed, but who knows. They are at least aware of the issue and working on it. Only thing we can do is wait.

Used two different browsers and same issue

It’s a Google Cloud outage.

Apparently Shopify blocks links? The issue is a Google Cloud outage. You look look up “shopify status” and “google cloud status” to see the current updates from Shopify and Google.

Thanks for the help… so this is happening to all or just our business?

Yeah it’s happening to everyone. Shopify is dependent on Google cloud for everything from data storage to API calls (Which powers the different parts of the admin).

I’m a developer and can’t even use their CLI or deploy a new app version. It’s a big outage.

Thanks for the reply… the news, although not great helps because felt like we were on an island stranded alone,

Absolutely, and I agree. I’d rather know the bad news then be left in the dark. In the absence of real customer support and communication, those status pages are the best indicators of what’s going on and if there are any issues. I give them a quick check whenever there are persistent errors.

the same problem with browser and mobile app. checked on two different PC and two different smartphones

I have the same problem in the mobile app on my iPhone. Is this also related to Google?
