Thanks for reaching out here and sharing additional context about your situation.
Unless you have the order number, then the best way to search for certain order would be by the customers name. However, if your payment provider informed you that the payment failed then the order shouldn’t have been created in Shopify admin. You’d probably find this order attempt in the Abandoned Checkouts section. Let me know if that works for you.
