Anyone else being told they need to pay their unpaid balance to get access to their 1099-k? Ive been told this is illegal, and apparently im not the only one shopify is trying to do this to. Has anyone found a work around to get their required tax documents?

I was told by chat that member of support would email me after mentioning the legality of this. The chat team member told me I would have to pay my bill. Never received that follow up email.
