Delete inactive store and reassign domain to new store

Hi,

I deployed store for a client. And currently the store is inactive since lockdown as the business was not operational.

The client had decided to go online again from scratch, but with a new store since the layout, payment service provider, shipping service are all different from last developed store.

Need help with the following.

  1. The client needs the text for terms and conditions, shipping, returns and privacy policy which is on the inactive store. We are not able to access the site since it is inactive.
  2. We want the inactive store to be deleted and also delink the domain with this store.

We have already developed a new store and client is ready to go live as soon as the above two requests are fulfilled. I was not able to contact support from either email or from the shopify support page. Been trying since a week.

I need help with this asap. How do I get in touch with shopify support so that I can share more information privately. Thanks

Thanks for outlining your requirements so clearly for us here in the Shopify Community!

In either case, what we would likely do in this situation is to add a few days of trial time to the previous store, so you can retrieve any data you need or for domain removal.

If there are no outstanding invoices on the store, it should be possible for us to do so.

That said, in order to get account support you would need to be reaching out via our Help Centre here, which you mentioned having issues with.

Could you tell me a little bit more about what seems to be preventing you from accessing your support options when you follow the prompts on that page?

In general terms, it’s always a good idea to clear your browser cache periodically, as well as check to ensure it’s up-to-date and supported for use with Shopify.

unfortunately I’m unable to access support, it’s just lopping.

please check the attachment. Would like to know where am I going wrong to get in touch with support. It would be of great help if someone from support could get in touch over email and help with the issue asap. Thanks

If you’re having issues with accessing our support portal using the Help Centre there are a few steps you can take to see what might be causing this.

Firstly I’d try clearing the cache on your browser, as this can often eliminate issues with using forms online like this.

Should you still encounter this after clearing your cache ensure your browser is updated and that it’s supported for use with Shopify.
