Hello
Is there a setting or code so that all shipping options are displayed on the checkout page instead of a dropdown with the cheapest shipping being the default?
I have just added express shipping but afraid no one will see it as you have to click the drop down to see/select this option.
Thanks
Unfortunately, Shopify’s checkout page is locked for customization, meaning there isn’t a built-in setting or direct code change to display all shipping options instead of a dropdown.
It will depend on how this is working/set up so far.
Are you using CCS or, are you setting them up manually?
Thank you for your reply.
I am setting up the shipping costs manually.
Would you mind sending me a screenshot? I’d like to take a look at it.
Also, can you please let me know whether you’re using conditionals? Price, weight, time?
Hi @Corinne33 ,
You’re right to be concerned, if the shipping options are hidden in a dropdown, many customers might not notice there’s an Express Delivery option available. I agree with @JulioGonzalez06 .Unfortunately, Shopify does not currently offer a native setting to show all shipping options expanded by default on the checkout page. The default behaviour is to display the cheapest shipping option first in a collapsed dropdown, and customers must manually click to view other choices like Express Delivery.
However there are some workarounds that you could consider:
-
Mention Express Shipping earlier in the cart page or product page, encouraging customers to select it at checkout.
-
Use an upsell message in the cart like “Need it faster? Choose Express Delivery at checkout.”
-
Shopify Plus users can customize the checkout experience using custom scripts or checkout extensions. If you’re on Shopify Plus, you can consult your developer to modify how shipping options appear.
