If you haven’t yet closed your Shopify store, you can transfer any Shopify-hosted domains to another provider by following the steps in this help document.

If you have already closed your store, you will need to get in touch with our Support team in order to transfer your domain away from Shopify. If your account is eligible (with no outstanding bills) our team can provide you temporary access to your store in order to transfer the domain (following the steps in the help doc listed above). I’m not able to provide account-specific support in the Shopify Community, however, if you reach out to our live Support team through the Help Center, they will be able to access your account and assist you with your request. Thank you for getting in touch. If you’ve already closed your store and need to transfer your domain to a different host, you’ll need to get in touch with our live support team for assistance. I’ll provide some steps here to make it easier:

  1. Head over to this link: Contact Shopify Support · Shopify Help Center
  2. Log in (you can do this even if your account has been closed)
  3. Select the support topic that best suits your inquiry (such as Account or Store settings)
  4. Scroll down to where it says Get support and select one of the available support options

Once you’ve connected with us we’ll assist you with transferring your domain.
