Error message when trying to customize theme

I’m looking for help with an issue that’s just started happening. When I try to customise my theme (dawn) I keep getting this error message:

This page is not compatible with the editor due to one of the following issues:

  • Page is redirecting to an unsupported URL
  • Page failed to load due to an error

If I log our of my google account and go incognito, it works fine. I can also access the editor through my phone. But I cant run my business logging in and out of google every time I need to access my theme editor.

Has anyone resolved this issue?

Hi,

It might be an issue with your cache or cookies, try cleaning up your browser cookies and cache, it might ask you to login again but it’s only for the first time after cleaning.

Thank you for replying. I have tried this, and have just tried it again now, but it hasn’t fixed this issue unfortunately :disappointed_face:

Check for Redirects:

  • Go to Online Store > Navigation > URL Redirects in your Shopify admin.
  • Look for any redirects that might affect the theme editor URL (usually anything affecting /admin/themes/current/editor).
  • Remove or modify any conflicting redirects.
