I understand you’re wanting to split payments. To make sure I understand, are you wanting to split payment methods? For example, two credit cards? Or, are you wanting to provide installment payments?

Unfortunately, if your goal is the former, splitting across multiple methods is not an option currently. However, if the latter, there are a variety of options available. If you’re using Shopify Payments you can use Shop Pay Installments. To use Shop Pay Installments, you only need to have a United States billing and shipping address and be signed up for.

Why can I split fulfillment in any order but I cannot split the payments to match the fulfilled items?

Any options out there for those of us not in the lofty “Shopify Plus” category? Anyone have an app?

The Shopify staff either does not read this thread, or they pretend they do not understand. Let me copy and paste what I said before:

This is not complicated. When I record a payment for an order, I need to be able to record PARTIAL PAYMENT. But the only option available is Fully paid.

Shopify folks, I am not talking about using multiple credit cards for a split payment.

I am talking about making a payment today and another one tomorrow, and recording this in your system.

Why do you pretend you do not understand?
