High Traffic and CTR, but 0 sales

Hi everyone, I am new to this space and need help. I launched my first ads recently and got really high click rates (20-30% per video), but I haven’t gotten a single sale, and barely any add to carts. I am quite puzzled as to what is going on. Is my website poor? Do I have to spend more and wait for TikTok’s algorithm to do it’s work?

I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions, as I really want this to work :slightly_smiling_face:

It’s great that you’re seeing high click-through rates (CTR) on your TikTok ads, However, if you’re not getting sales or add-to-carts, there are a few things to investigate:

1. High CTR (20-30%) means your ad is engaging, but if conversions are low, it could be due to:

A. Wrong Audience Targeting – TikTok users might be clicking out of curiosity, but they may not be ready to buy.
B. Landing Page Mismatch – If your ad sets a certain expectation and your website doesn’t match it, users drop off.
C. Trust Issues – If your store is new and lacks social proof (reviews, testimonials), users may hesitate to buy.
2. Website & User Experience Audit:
A. Mobile Optimization: Since TikTok users are mobile-first, is your site fast & mobile-friendly?
B. Clear Value Proposition: Does your landing page explain the benefits & unique selling points (USP) of your product?
C. Trust Signals: Add Trustpilot reviews, testimonials, guarantees, and secure payment badges to build credibility.
D. Smooth Checkout: Ensure checkout is quick and hassle-free, with multiple payment options.
3. Expanding to Google & YouTube Ads for Better Insights:
Instead of relying solely on TikTok, diversify your traffic sources:

-Google Ads (Search & Shopping):
Helps capture high-intent buyers actively searching for similar products.
Use Performance Max or Shopping Ads to test new audiences.
-YouTube Ads (Retargeting & Awareness):
Test video ads similar to TikTok but with higher purchase intent audiences.
Run retargeting ads for users who visited your site but didn’t purchase.
4. Next Steps & Optimization:
-Set up Google Analytics & Track Drop-offs: Identify where users leave your site.
-Retarget Visitors via Google & TikTok Pixel: Show ads again to those who didn’t complete their purchase.
-Run A/B Tests: Test different creatives, CTAs, and landing pages.
-Consider Influencer Marketing: TikTok users trust UGC (User-Generated Content) over direct ads.
5. Also check with SEO point of view.

Feel free to reach out if you need any assistance. Thanks

If your CTR is that high but conversions are dead, it’s usually one of three things: wrong audience, weak product-market fit, or website issues.

First, check if your ads are attracting the right people. If your TikTok audience is just clicking out of curiosity but not actually interested in buying, you might need to tweak your targeting. Second, take a hard look at your landing page, does it load fast, look trustworthy, and have clear CTAs? Third, test your pricing and offer, maybe people like the product but don’t feel compelled to buy yet. Try running a limited-time discount or adding social proof (reviews, testimonials) to build trust

If your ads get high clicks but no sales, your website or product might not match what buyers expect. For example, the pricing of your product might not be right. Or the trust factor can be missing.

I did go through your site, and I must say that it is very well developed, and even the aesthetics, as well as the UI are amazing. But, your website can benefit further from customer testimonials and FAQs, that answer to common queries related to your business.

Furthermore, on the product detail page, you can add more details and features about your products. Take inspiration from Amazon’s product pages. The way those are detailed and structured nicely, a customer feels all their questions have been answered within those details. So, try to adapt that.

Also, I will advise you to check the targeting of your ads and adjust budget, etc., as this is the first time you have launched ads, and some tweaks can improve the performance of your ads.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, I haven’t made any changes to the website yet but I’m already getting add-to carts with my new ad campaign I just launched with a more specific targeting rather than too broad. I will also look into adding more details to the product page :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello @earely ,

Your website looks great! However, I think you should improve your product description. You need to write a compelling product description to engage with your audience and prove that your product is worth purchasing.

You also need to take a look at your analytics. Have you set up some tracking tools like Hotjar, Smartlook or others? Do you have website visitors? Do they add products to cart and then abandon their carts or they don’t add products to cart?

If you need any consultation or assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Best regards,
