How can I change my store's country setting on Shopify?

I need help! I bought a Shopify store from Exchange, from Denmark. I’m so far unsuccessful at changing the store location to United States, as far as my payment methods for the business. If anyone out there can help, please do. Shopify support has been horrible.

Do the following:

  1. “Settings”
  2. “General”
  3. Scroll to “Store Address” and change the country there.

Let me know if that works!

As shown, the country section is greyed out & cannot be changed

Oh you have Shopify Payments enabled here, got to your “Payment Settings”, disable it and come back to change the country!

I know it says go to payment center but that doesn’t work either

I deactivated it like 100 times already but the settings never go away.

That’s extremely odd, would you mind sharing the steps you’re following for deactivation? Just to make sure we haven’t missed something here.
