How can I get a refund for an unwanted Shopify subscription?

Hello,

I received a message from bank about Shopify monthly payment Subscription . I completely forgot that i had a trial store with a selected plan that i did not close. I did not want to continue with the store i forgot to close it. How do i get a refund as i want to close the store and did not have the money to pay for this.

While our Terms of Service does state that we do not provide refunds, we can, on a case by case basis make exceptions as long as the store is fully closed within a reasonable time of the invoice generating. To close your store, you will want to log in and navigate to Settings/Plans and Permissions. From here, you’ll want to select “Close Store” at the bottom of the page. If you follow the prompts then this will close your store and remove you from active billing. Our help document here also provides the steps on how to close your store.
