Customer reports being charged twice on Jul 23, 2021 and requests a refund totaling 87.24 BBD (58.84 BBD + 28.40 BBD). Provides a bank statement table as evidence (central to the complaint). BBD = Barbadian dollars.
Claims they paid for the smaller subscription but were also billed for a larger one, and objects to being told to pay a “builder” to help set up their page. Considering unsubscribing.
Shopify staff asks the customer to confirm whether the store is closed. If the store is closed, a refund request for the most recent subscription invoice can be considered after the customer follows the store-closure guide and contacts Support via the Help Centre.
If the store remains active, staff directs the customer to Settings > Billing to open the specific invoice and view a line-item breakdown of charges. Staff cannot access or discuss account-specific billing in the public forum.
Status: unresolved/ongoing. Next steps: customer confirms store status, reviews invoice breakdown, and contacts Support to pursue a refund. Open question: why two charges occurred and whether both are refundable.
listen don i have no problem with shopify i think is a good site and it mean well ,but what I have a problem with is the over billing with out my permission I pay for the small supcription
and you also bill me for the large on why is that and the real problem that I have you want me
Can you clarify for me if your store is still open or if you have chosen to close your store?
If your store is still active, you can check to see what you are being billed for by heading to the settings > billing menu in your admin and click on the specific invoice for which you want to see the breakdown of the charges.
There you will be able to see exactly what you are being charged for in a given invoice.
We’re not able to access or discuss accounts publicly here at all, so I would not be able to check this out for you from here.
