I have an automatic discount set so if a customer orders $150 they get a free gift.
How I get the free gift to shop in the customer’s cart, so they don’t call me saying my site is not showing that they will receive the freebie?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I’m happy to provide some assistance with setting up automatic discounts on the shop to get this resolved. To provide some context, when creating Buy X, Get Y discounts, the Get Y product is required to be added to the cart in order for the discount to apply. This would be expected behaviour for both discount codes and automatic discounts on the shop. I recommend checking out our Discounts Documentation for more information on this.
As I can understand how this may not be ideal, I recommend checking out the Shopify App Store for available discount apps that may allow for this.
