I have created a discount code for a customer to be able to get a free sample. But I want it to ship for free also. And I don’t want to have to create a special shipping profile for that product, because that creates other problems for me.
A thread earlier this year states that it’s possible to create an Automatic Discount for a single product, but that option seems to have disappeared.
Any tips?
Does anyone have a suggestion for an app that can do this? It seems that the product specific FREE SHIPPING codes are no longer available in Shopify.

By setting up points program, your customers can gain some points after having some activities. And then they can redeem these points for discounts or coupons which can be used in the next order. As what you expect, you could set up more points for sign-up and fewer points redeemed for free-shipping rewards. For example, customers can get 100 points for their sign-up and need to redeem 10 points for free shipping rewards. After that, your customer can use the free shipping reward in their orders.
Moreover, discount rewards could be applied to specific collections.
After all points and reward program well prepared, your customers will see this widget and panel in your store. Shoppers can join to be your loyal customers, and sign up to get points for discount rewards.
