Could you please share details about the type of offer you are looking to create? Depending on the logic, it might not be feasible using Shopify’s built-in automatic discounts alone.
- Which products/variants are eligible for the discount?
- Which customers are eligible for the discount?
- Are there any other conditions on the discount, such as a minimum/maximum cart subtotal threshold?

To set up an automatic discount, head to the Discounts section in your Shopify admin and click “Create discount.” Choose “Automatic discount” and from there you can define the discount type, amount, and any conditions like minimum spend or product selection. Once active, it’ll apply automatically at checkout without the need for a code.
If you ever want to show the discount more visibly—like directly on the product page or collection page—there’s also an app called Klip Coupons: Sales and Discounts that makes that possible. It supports automatic-style discounts with more flexibility, including things like customer targeting, redemption limits, and visual display without editing your theme.
