How to remove inactive shopify from my 3rd party domain

I have my own domain and during a shopify trial tried to connect shopify to my domain. This has completely wiped out my domain (cannot locate/see it any longer). I ended my trial of shopify but my domain is still missing. I need assistance disconnecting shopify from my 3rd party domain.

Hello @mkapalka

You can disconnect your domain but this has to be from your domain registrar.where did you bought your domain name?

It is through GoDaddy

I want to disconnect shopify from my domain, not disconnect my domain. My domain is still be rerouted to website.shopify.com, not website.com.

You need to delete DNS records in your domain name provider which is GoDaddy.

Delete DNS records

  1. Log in to your GoDaddy Domain Control Center. (Need help logging in? …
  2. Select your domain to access the Domain Settings page.
  3. Select Manage DNS under Additional Settings.
  4. Select Delete next to the record you’re removing. …
  5. Confirm deletion by selecting Remove in the new window.
