Wie kann ich die Shopify Domain löschen? Hab bereits ein Domain gekauft und sollte für alle Seiten zuständig sein aber die Shopify Domain lässt sich weiterhin nicht löschen.
Hi, @wei8 .
Thanks for posting to the Shopify Community.
I understand you’re looking to remove your Shopify-managed domain as you’ve already purchased another domain.
I would like to advise that you’re not able to remove the domain directly from your admin. Our internal team may be able to assist with this if you’ve reached the maximum domain limit. You can reach out through the Shopify Help Center if this is something you’d like our team to look into more closely.
However, it is possible to disconnect your domain so that it no longer directs customers to your storefront. You’ll first want to ensure that auto-renewal is turned off for your domain. To find this section, please head to your Shopify admin > Settings > Domains > Manage section and uncheck the auto-renew box.
To disconnect your domain, you’ll need to adjust your DNS settings. This section can be found in your Settings > Domains > Manage section by clicking DNS Settings. Once selected, please follow the steps below:
- Remove all CNAME records pointing to shops.myshopify.com
- Change the A Record to blank/zero addresses (A Record = 0.0.0.0) can be added to ensure it is disconnected.
After adjusting your DNS settings and turning off auto-renewal, your domain will be disconnected and customers cannot navigate to your storefront. Once disconnected, you can leave the domain on your account to expire or you can t****ransfer your Shopify-managed domain to another store or domain provider.
Please let us know if you have any questions on the process shared above. I’ll be happy to take a look!
