Http version not redirecting to https version of my website

Hi,

My Website mystore.xyz is not accessible and says it can’t be reached. (Basically HTTP version of website is not accessible)

however, my website https://mystore.xyz is accessible.

As it is not automatically redirecting to the HTTPS version, Is it possible to redirect mystore.xyz to https://mystore.xyz

Otherwise someone who types my domain will never be able to access my store.

Please help.

Hi,

I think you need to update the sitemap in Google for this to be reflected.

Hi, @falcon00a .

Thank you for reaching out and bringing this to our attention!

I understand that one of your domains isn’t accessible at the moment, and I’d be happy to assist with some troubleshooting. However, just to confirm, did you purchase a domain from Shopify? Or, are you connecting a third-party domain?

If you’ve purchased a domain from Shopify, then the domain will be set up automatically within approximately 48 hours. However, if you’re connecting a third-party domain, then you will need to make sure that both of Shopify’s DNS records are set up with your domain provider. It’s also important to note that it can take up to 48 hours for third-party domains to be fully set up as well.

Shopify’s DNS records:

A Record: 23.227.38.65

CNAME record: shops.myshopify.com

After adding your domain to Shopify or Shopify’s DNS records to your third-party domain provider, you can set up a primary domain for the redirection. The primary domain can help redirect your customers using one of your other domains (eg. store.myshopify.com or HTTP) to your primary domain.

If you need further assistance with your domains, then this is something that our Support team can help you with. While we’re not able to provide account-specific support via the Shopify Community at this time, we’d be happy to continue assisting you through live chat, email, or callback. Please visit the Shopify Help Center and log in to your account to create a support request.

So that I can take a closer look at your domain, can you share your URL?

Hi @Elias ,

I have already set up the domain with the DNS instructions that was in the Shopify Help centre (Same as you have suggested) Third-party domain.

My Domain ID: artventure.xyz

Https version is working but HTTP version is not working and it is not redirecting to https.

I have tried contacting support, but they said to contact here.

Please help.

Hi, @falcon00a .

Thank you for following up and sharing your domain address!

I’ve taken a look at the domain (artventure.xyz) and both versions, the HTTP and HTTPS, seem to be working at the moment. It also looks like you’ve set up a primary domain now, as both of your domains are redirecting me to: https://artventure.store. If you’re not seeing the same results, then it’s possible that you may need to clear your browser’s cookies and caches.

Just to confirm, did it simply require more time for your domain to finish setting up? Or, did you have to do something on your end?
