Hi, about a month ago I made my store and I had used free trials on some apps, I ended up uninstalling them and I thought that was the end of the story. Today I woke up and got charged for these apps which I had already canceled 2 weeks ago. I’m a student who is saving up money and I really can’t be affording these charges for something I didn’t even use. Could someone on the team please help me get a refund because I really do need the money, and I just don’t think it’s fair I still get charged after I cancelled. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Myles
Hey @rhumbux0
If you contact the app developer then i hope they will refund it. And you can find the contact detial on the app website.
Hi, @rhumbux0 .
Welcome to the Shopify Community.
I understand that you have uninstalled several third-party apps from your store and deactivated your Shopify account. However, you’ve noticed that you were recently billed for the third-party apps that you uninstalled a couple of weeks ago.
I would like to advise that when an app is uninstalled, this does not cancel any charges for a cycle that has already begun. Make sure that you consider app billing cycles when you plan to uninstall an app. Recurring app charges are generated the first time an app charge is approved, and then on the first day of an app’s billing cycle. Because of this, a charge will appear on your bill even if you uninstall an app only a day or two after you install it.
The next steps you can take are to contact the app developer following the steps listed here to request a review/refund for the billing charges.
I hope this helps!
