I have not made any sales or traffic

So, I created a website and started with my content about a year ago and since then I have barley brought in any traffic and haven’t made sales other than my family. I feel like I’ve been trying everything, but nothing works so i came to Shopify and started a new website. Can anyone look over my site and help me out or any tips on how to start making actual sales. I have my content pages at the bottom of my website as well!!

Thank you!!

Hi @MIELCHERI ,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. We are MooseDesk, a comprehensive Live Chat, FAQ & Helpdesk App designed to elevate your customer support experience.

Congrats on your new store! It has quite enough essential information. However, if you are having trouble generating sales, please take a look at my recommendations below:

1. Add a favicon

A favicon is a small icon in the browser’s address bar and tabs. While it may seem minor, it can help boost perceived trustworthiness, leading to higher conversion rates.

2. Include a hero section

The hero section is the first thing visitors see and it sets the tone for the entire experience of your web visitors.

Try to take advantage of this by adding these elements:

  • A high-quality image or video: Create a desgin that aligns with your brand
  • A compelling headline: It should be your brand’s slogan or key message that highlights your unique selling proposition.
  • A prominent CTA button: Use strong action-oriented language (e.g., “Shop Now,” “Learn More”) and make the button stand out

Here’s a good example:

3. Add a footer section

Similar to the favicon, the footer is often overlooked, but it’s a valuable piece that can contribute to more sales. You can optimize it by re-organizing the elements and add some more.

Some of the elements you can consider adding are:

  • Copyright notice: Clearly state the copyright owner and year.
  • Privacy policy link: Link to your detailed privacy policy.
  • Terms of service link: Link to your terms and conditions.
  • Contact information: Include your address, phone number, and email.
  • Social media icons: Link to your social media profiles.

4. Create an FAQ page

An FAQ page serves multiple purposes such as improving customer experience, reducing customer support load and enhancing SEO. Besides, having an FAQ page can help you address common concerns and questions faster, thus minimizing the barriers to purchase.

I suggest exploring MooseDesk, a free live chat, FAQ & Helpdesk App. MooseDesk provides a proactive help center with aesthetic and trending FAQ templates, and a user-friendly widget, offering an effective solution to enhance customer support on your platform.

As an expert/enthusiast in UX, I recommend implementing these changes to improve customer experience when scrolling through your store.

If this is helpful for you, please let me know by giving me a ‘LIKE’. If your question is answered please mark this as 'SOLUTION’.

Thank you for reading. Wish you a nice day ahead!

Hi @MIELCHERI ! I’m Tracy from BON Loyalty, the essential loyalty program app for Shopify businesses.

Thank you for sharing your store. After reviewing MielCheri Journals, I’ve put together some precise feedback that focuses on two core areas: website optimization and traffic generation.

Website Optimization
1. Single product offering limits appeal
Right now, your store only offers one product, while the product presentation is clean and the photography is visually pleasing, having a single item makes it harder to convert visitors unless they are part of a very specific audience.

Recommendation:

  • Consider offering variations or bundles (e.g., pastel color sets, self-care kits with candles or stickers).
  • Offer customizable options: personalized cover name, packaging, or inner page design for gifting purposes.

2. Homepage structure feels empty
The homepage lacks a clear branding message. There is no banner or value proposition that explains who you are and why the journal matters. For a product that is likely tied to emotional or lifestyle values, this is a missed opportunity.

Recommendation:

  • Add a hero banner with a strong motto or purpose statement (e.g., “Helping you reconnect with your thoughts – one page at a time”).
  • Add a short “About the Brand” or “Meet the Creator” section to build personal connection.

Traffic Generation
1. Organic growth needs strategic content
If you’ve been posting content for a year with little traction, it may be time to revisit your content strategy. Generic journaling tips or quotes might not stand out.

Recommendation:

  • Focus on niche targeting: for example, “journaling for healing after breakups”, etc.
  • Create micro-content on TikTok or Instagram Reels showing how your journal is used (e.g., flip-throughs, writing prompts, aesthetic morning routines).

2. SEO and copy are underutilized
Product pages and home page copy are minimal. SEO-wise, this makes it hard for Google to understand what your store is about.

Recommendation:

  • Rewrite your product description to be more benefit-focused and SEO-rich.
  • Add alt-text to images, optimize meta titles, and write a short blog (e.g., “Why Gratitude Journals Are the Best Gift for 2025”).

In summary, the visual aesthetic is promising, but the website lacks branding depth, product variety, and trust elements. Meanwhile, traffic efforts need a clearer strategy with niche targeting and sharper content. Addressing these gaps can set you on a stronger path toward converting actual paying customers. Let me know if you’d like help with rewrites, ad targeting, or brand voice—happy to collaborate further.

Best,

Tracy

I love the style and colors on your website @MIELCHERI , they are quite beautiful!

But with such a beautiful product on your website, I fail to find any related product images in Google Search Results, which is a pity! Hence you can get started by adding some images in search results and it will be helpful for your sales surely, kindly consider this please, thanks!
