Hello, I wanted to re brand or re ‘vamp’ my store because I am getting good traffic on my site and social media however I wanted to fix my store and change it up so I can get better traffic and volume. However when I follow the (https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/your-account/pause-close-store) instructions, I cannot see the pause button. All that is available to me is the ‘close your story’ option. However this isn’t something I am interested in at the moment.
Is there anyway around this? Or will I just have to wait until it shows upon the page? Thank you, stay safe!.
Ren here from the Shopify support team, thanks for your post. How old is your account? Accounts younger than 60 days (paid subscriptions) are not eligible to Pause as per our documentation here. To clarify, this would need to be 60 days past the ending of the trial period.
That being said, you can still work on your store and make changes to it while you’re still on a plan or waiting to be able to pause it. I recommend duplicating your theme and making all of your changes in the un-published duplication. Once you are happy with your changes, you can simply publish the copy to apply the changes to your public theme.
