I'm having trouble deleting my account

Hello,

I would like to delete my Shopify account but I can’t because the “Plan” page is not accessible from my account.

After searching in the help center, I tried to contact you from your contact page but the button allowing me to discuss by message or chat do not appear.

I took the time to test this on 2 web browsers (Chrome and Firefox) and the rest was the same. Even after following the instructions given in a Shopify Community discussion.

What solutions would you suggest to solve the problem? Is there a public Shopify email address to contact them?

Can you let me know what the Plan page looks like on your end? I’m just curious as to why you’re not seeing the option of deactivating the store yourself—are you perhaps the Account Owner of the store, or do you instead have a Staff account within the store you’d like to close?

Just a note that to deactivate a store, the request will need to come from the store’s Account Owner, as explained in this guide. If you’re the Account Owner of the store and would like to proceed accessing the help of our internal support team with this situation, please follow the instructions below to contact our team.

The steps below will allow you to bypass the login page, as this will sometimes help present our contact options. Keep in mind however that because you won’t be authenticated upon connecting with our internal support team, they may require you to authenticate yourself against the correct store you wish to deactivate.
