I created my account by accident. Please help me completely delete my account and presence on here. I have not selected a plan. I don’t want to wait for anything to “time out” - I would just like to delete my account in full.
I understand you’ve created an account by accident, you have not selected a plan and would like to close your Shopify store. Once you’ve deactivated your store, you won’t have access to your Shopify admin. If you’d like to log back in, then you will have to enter your credit card details and reactivate your store. Before closing your store, please review our help center resource.
How to close your Shopify store:
Within your Shopify admin, head to Settings > Plan
Click Cancel subscription or Pause or deactivate store.
If applicable, review the options to pause your subscription, or start a new store.
If you still want to deactivate, then click Cancel subscription and close store or Deactivate store.
Select a reason for the deactivation, and then click Continue.
Enter your password, and then click Close store or Deactivate now.
Once you’ve deactivated your store you’ll receive an email from Shopify confirming it is closed. You’re still able to re-open your store and your store’s information is guaranteed for 2 years.
The above steps I shared are to deactivate/close your Shopify account. If you’re looking to delete your information on the backend completely, this can be done by contacting support via the Shopify Help Center.

This isn’t helpful at all since I’m trying to do the exact same thing and remove my account completely. I too created it by accident and the hyperlink that has ‘contact Shopify Support’ just reloads the Shopify help center back to the home page. If I talk to the bot, it gives me instructions that I can’t follow because I don’t have a store created because I accidentally signed up. I just want to completely delete and remove the Shopify store account. Why is this so hard to get in contact with a person?
