Is product duplication interface causing more work for merchants?

I just ran into a problem with the product duplication selection on the product pages which allows merchants to duplicate an item to list on their store. It appears to be an additional step to create more work for the merchant. Today I received a shipment of 76 pieces of product which I need to add to me store. When I select duplicate it provides me with the normal selection check-boxes that I need to check off so it will add (duplicate) that information to the new item (this is backwards. Shouldn’t that be information I do NOT want to add, since duplication means exactly what it says?) NOW it also has another step that was added today which forces me to enter my product information and save it bdfore I am allowed to update the qualtity of the items I am adding, then resaving it all again. Seems like a redundant step that some idiot decided was necessary for everyone to do. There should be a POLL or features being considered that are voted on by the merchants since they are the people that use the various interfaces which may create more or less work to complete. Since this new option has been forced on me, I now have to re-examine each product page after I save it to ensure I have the correct quantity of the item, then make any necessay change and re-save it again. That’s 2 more pages I need to visit for each item I am adding. Some airhead must be having a good laugh at creating MORE work for merchants who are dedicated to updating their online stores with current products. Sounds like the LIVE VIEW fiasco all over again. Who actually requested the extra step be created before they could change their product quantity???

Start polling your merchants, after all we are the ones who need to be able to use the admin interface. Not some pencil pushers who thought the LIVE VIEW globe was the best thing since apple pie.
