Is there a way to get a refund after closing a paused subscription account?

Hello Shopify team!

A year ago, I created a Shopify account and worked on it for a little while. Got busy with work and wanted to delete this account, but instead, I paused it and paid a reduced amount to not lose this account.

A day ago, I decided to completely delete my account and deactivate my store. In order to reactive my paused Shopify account, I had to pick a plan. I did that. Paid, activated my store, went to settings, and diactivated to close the store and shut off my subscription plan as we as hoping I could get a refund.

I didn’t get a refund.

Is there a way to solve this issue? All I wanted, was to close the store but ended up paying for a subscription that I wasn’t planning to use.

Thank you for your time!

Hi there, @Travogy !

Welcome to the Community! Definitely a great place to gather some input regarding anything about the platform!

When it comes to your inquiry and situation, you simply need to reach out to our live support team to request that refund.

Our live agents are the one who can push that refund request through once they see your account and see when it was closed and what charges are eligible for a refund.

Definitely let me know if you need any further assistance regarding this.
