Having issues with products syncing to GMC. It is connected to my store and there are no flags or other notifications that would suggest a problem. I reached out to Google and they responded with possibly needed to add robots.txt and schema.org. I have no clue.
Would welcome any advice or someone willing to be hired to do this for me.

as you mentioned, you aren’t sure of the issue, you should know that structured data is basically a machine-readable format of your shopify product data. and it is essential to sync to your products to GMC. it allows google to understand what your content is about and process it with ease.

and robots.txt is also essential to allow google’s crawlers to visit your site and crawl your products (amongst other use cases). for this too, i will suggest you to check google’s developer guide to understand how to create and submit robots.txt
and as emmanuel mentioned, do check product and account-level issues in GMC. that will give more clarity over other product data issues, which you might need to debug separately.
