Hej everyone,

I have finished setting up my store for my brand AMO & Oak.
We’re focussing on long lasting footwear tapping into the Scandinavian aesthetic and slow fashion since we are based in Sweden. We’re going for a cozy but stylish look.
There will be more products in the future like Swedish clogs and leather products, but it’s only the socks for now.

Since I’m pretty new to E-Com I would appreciate any input, feedback and constructive criticism on this store.
Anything from SEO, page speed, visuals, copy, CRO, etc. - Let me know!

Feel free to check it out: AMO & Oak

Thanks for your time!

Hi, I’m Wayne from Akohub. We have been working with many brands to run online stores. After viewing your website, I believe our expertise could add value to your business.

I can see your store captures the cozy, stylish Scandinavian aesthetic you’re aiming for, with a clean layout and inviting visuals which make browsing your collection a pleasant experience. The product photos are clear and your copy reflects a thoughtful ethos that aligns well with your brand’s values. This strong foundation will serve you well as you expand into new product categories.

To further optimize your store for SEO, consider enriching your product descriptions with relevant keywords that reflect both your brand and what your target audience might search for. Adding regularly updated blogs or inspiration sections can help boost your search rankings and establish your brand as an authority in the slow fashion space. For conversion rate optimization, make sure your calls-to-action are clear and visible, and consider including more customer reviews or testimonials to build trust. Streamlining the checkout process and ensuring your site is fast and mobile-friendly will also help convert more browsers into buyers.

One opportunity you might be missing is the loyalty program widget. Loyalty programs are proven to foster repeat purchases by rewarding customers with points, discounts, or exclusive perks. It not only encourages customers to return but also increases average order value and reduces your reliance on costly customer acquisition strategies. A well-designed loyalty program creates a sense of community and appreciation, making shoppers feel valued and more likely to stick with your brand over time. This is especially important for clothing brand merchants, where building long-term relationships can set you apart.

To streamline the loyalty program set up process, our Ako Marketing app is an ideal option. It lets you effortlessly launch a customizable loyalty widget with tailored design to fit your brand’s identity. With features such as multiple VIP tiers, one-click points redemption, and Instagram DM automation, the app makes it simple to encourage repeat purchases and keep your customers engaged as your product range grows.

Best wishes! If you have any more questions or need a free professional consultation, feel free to let us know! Don’t forget to like and mark it as a solution if you find this helpful.

Hi @lxurnz , It’s Nick here from BON, the essential solution of customer loyalty for Shopify businesses

First of all, thank you for sharing your store with the community. I’ve had a look at your website, and it truly impressed me. There are some strengths of your website:

  • Clean and Minimalist Aesthetic
The website embraces a Scandinavian-inspired design, reflecting the brand’s identity. The use of ample white space and a neutral color palette enhances readability and focuses attention on the products.

  • High-Quality Product Imagery
Product pages feature clear, high-resolution images that showcase the details of items like cozy socks and Swedish clogs. This aligns with Shopify’s recommendation to use strong visuals to engage customers.

Additionally, based on my experience in product development and as an e-commerce customer, I have a few recommendations for you to improve your website:

1. Introduce a Clear Value Proposition
Craft a compelling headline on the homepage that encapsulates the brand’s essence, such as “Experience Scandinavian Comfort with Our Handcrafted Footwear.”

  1. Enhance Product Categorization
As you continue to add more products and variations to the website. Implement filters and sorting options to allow users to browse products based on preferences like size, color, or material.

  2. Incorporate Customer Testimonials
Display reviews and ratings on product pages to offer social proof and enhance trustworthiness.

Once again, congratulations on your work. I hope these suggestions provide helpful insights to enhance your website’s performance. Best of luck!

Hi there, @lxurnz . Huge compliments on the overall design of AMO & Oak! The site’s vibe is calm, modern, and reflects a premium, thoughtful brand without trying too hard. The layout is smooth and your page speed and mobile responsiveness are well-optimized, which is a big win in both user experience and SEO performance.

Now let’s talk about the content strategy, specifically around your blog (Scandinavian Design and Lifestyle), for long-term SEO gains. For now, you already do a great job of tying your products to Scandinavian culture and lifestyle via this blog, which is something most e-commerce stores miss. However, the SEO side of the blog could use more structure and strategy:

Content Quality: Your blog posts aren’t optimized for high-intent or high-traffic search queries. Also, they are too short or lack comprehensive details, reducing their ability to rank for competitive or informational queries.

To solve this, please consider conducting comprehensive keyword research to identify high-volume, low-competition keyword like “What is Scandinavian design?”, or “Best cashmere socks for winter”.

Make sure every post has a keyword-optimized headline, meta description, headers (H1, H2), CTA to shop or join your newsletter.

Internal Linking: You can use internal linking to direct readers to featured products mentioned in the post, related blogs, or category pages (e.g., “See all wool products”) to keep them engaged as long as possible.

Blog Categories: Currently, it’s just one long blog feed, which isn’t ideal for user experience or SEO organization.

You can create simple categories like “Swedish Culture”, “Material Guides”, “Lifestyle & Rituals”, etc. and use tags for recurring themes like linen, rituals, slow living, etc.

Please have a look at the basics of SEO content optimization above first, and let us know if you have any questions! In case you are interested, we are thrilled to introduce the SearchPie: SEO, Speed & Schema app with all the advanced tools not only for content optimization but other SEO elements boosting :slightly_smiling_face: Have a good day!

Hi @lxurnz

After checking, I found that your website is the most cozy and comfortable one I have ever seen. The UI and design are amazing, I love it! Apart from the UI and design of your website, I have listed another three suggestions below for your reference, and they will be able to make your website perform better.

  1. Images on product pages do not display normally after accessing. I have tested several times on my end, and not every time the image can display properly. You can further check with developers and see if these kinds of images are not loaded correctly from the backend.

  1. Your H1 tag on the homepage is set on the store logo, and from what I checked on Google end, Google prefers the real text content as H1, rather than the images or logos. This will affect the effect of indexing and judgment by Google. It is suggested to change the H1 from logo to main title on homepage, so that Google can know your website content more efficiently.

  1. The location of the badge on the product page is to the lower left of the buy button, which makes the right side look empty. If possible, the icon position can be spread out and centered, which makes the icon look more prominent and more symmetrical on the left and right sides.

Hi @lxurnz

Thanks for reaching out to the Shopify Community! I’m Donna from MooseDeskapp, I can tell you have put a lot of effort into building your store. Here are some of my recommendations for better customer experience, please kindly check

1. Fill “why choose us” section

I noticed that it looks like you already planned a section for “Why choose us” on your homepage (great move!) — but it’s still empty for now. I highly recommend filling this in as soon as possible.

This is a golden opportunity to help new visitors understand what makes your brand special — especially since you’re tapping into the Scandinavian aesthetic and slow fashion, which are both strong, meaningful pillars. Highlight your product quality, sustainability values, and your vision. A few thoughtful lines here can build a lot of trust and emotional connection.

  1. Use date delivery

Customers can make better-informed decisions about their purchase if you display an estimated delivery date or range near the “Add to Cart” button. You can consider adding a delivery date calculator that updates based on the user’s location.

For example:

3. Add a Live chat Support

I can see that your website lacks a help widget and live chat feature to allow customers to contact you immediately. How about having a powerful live chat to assist potential customers instantly, addressing their questions or concerns in real time? This can help prevent abandonment and encourage purchases

I suggest exploring MooseDesk, a FREE Live Chat, WhatsApp & FAQ App. You can easily reach customer support via WhatsApp, ensuring immediate assistance for inquiries. Also, the widget provides multi self-Service options such as Order tracking, Translation and FAQ section empower customers to resolve common questions on their own, reducing the need for direct support.

—————

As an enthusiast in UX, I recommend implementing these changes to improve customer experience when scrolling through your store.

If this is helpful for you, please let me know by giving me a ‘LIKE’. If your question is answered please mark this as 'SOLUTION’.

Thank you for reading. Wish you a nice day ahead!

Hej,

would you have an idea on how to fix the H1 issue? I wouldn’t know where to start with that.

Would it show in you guys App? I’m also using that for SEO.

Thanks!

Hi @lxurnz ! Your AMO & Oak store has a beautiful Scandinavian aesthetic and really captures that cozy, premium feel you’re going for. The visual design is excellent and the brand positioning is clear. However, there are several areas that could significantly improve your conversion potential.

Strengths First:

  • Beautiful, cohesive brand aesthetic that perfectly captures Scandinavian minimalism
  • High-quality product photography and lifestyle images
  • Clear value propositions (sustainability, quality, comfort)
  • Good use of customer reviews and ratings
  • Professional overall presentation

Critical Areas for Improvement:

1. Content & SEO Strategy You’re missing a huge opportunity without a blog. For a brand positioning itself around Scandinavian lifestyle and slow fashion, content is essential:

  • Create articles about Scandinavian hygge lifestyle, sustainable fashion tips, wool care guides
  • Share stories about Swedish craftsmanship and your brand values
  • Seasonal content about staying cozy during different times of year
  • This builds brand authority and drives organic traffic

2. Product Range Limitations Having only 4 sock products significantly limits conversion opportunities:

  • Visitors have very few options to choose from
  • No cross-selling or upselling possibilities
  • Limited reasons for repeat visits
  • Consider adding your planned clogs and leather products sooner, even as pre-orders

3. Pricing & Value Perception Your socks are priced at premium levels, but you need stronger justification:

  • More detailed information about material sourcing and quality
  • Comparison with fast fashion alternatives
  • Stronger emphasis on durability and cost-per-wear value
  • Consider bundle deals to increase average order value

4. Trust & Social Proof While you have some reviews, you need more credibility signals:

  • Add more detailed customer testimonials with photos
  • Include information about your Swedish location and craftsmanship
  • Add sustainability certifications if you have them
  • Show behind-the-scenes content about your production process

5. Technical Improvements Consider using Tapita: SEO Optimizer & Speed to optimize your site performance and SEO structure.

For content creation, Tapita AI SEO Blog Builder could help create that essential Scandinavian lifestyle content that aligns perfectly with your brand.

Immediate Action Items:

  1. Start a blog immediately - this is your biggest missed opportunity
  2. Add more product variety or at least announce upcoming products
  3. Create bundle offers to increase average order value
  4. Add size guides and fit information for international customers
  5. Expand your About Us story - people buy into brands, especially with premium products
  6. Add gift options - socks make great gifts, especially premium ones
  7. Create seasonal collections to give customers reasons to return

Long-term Strategy: Your brand foundation is solid, but you need to expand beyond just selling socks. Position AMO & Oak as a lifestyle brand that represents Scandinavian values of quality, sustainability, and coziness. The blog content and additional products will be crucial for this positioning.

The visual design is already there - now you need to build the content and product ecosystem that supports your premium positioning and gives customers more reasons to engage with your brand.

Hi @lxurnz

This H1 tag issue is due to the wrongly added tag on the logo, rather than the real text directly. Therefore, this needs to be fixed by changing the logo H1 tag to an H2 tag and reverting the real text content tag from H2 to H1.

If you have already installed our APP and that will be great. You can seek help from the team directly, and they will check and do this work for you properly, rest assured.

Hi there, @lxurnz ! Your AMO & Oak store beautifully captures that Scandinavian aesthetic and slow fashion ethos. The clean design and premium positioning really work well together.

One specific area I’d recommend focusing on is better communicating the value of your premium pricing, especially since you’re selling quality socks at higher price points. Many customers struggle with the upfront cost of sustainable, long-lasting products even when they understand the quality difference.

Consider adding “price per wear” calculations to help customers understand the true value over time.

For example, showing that a $25 pair of quality socks that lasts 2 years costs just $0.03 per wear makes the investment much more compelling than just seeing the $25 price tag.

This approach would perfectly align with your slow fashion messaging - instead of buying cheap socks multiple times, customers can see the real cost savings of buying quality once. It also reinforces your positioning around longevity and sustainability.

Our app Weario was built specifically for this - it displays automatic cost-per-wear calculations and lets customers adjust their own usage estimates. Since you’re planning to expand into Swedish clogs and leather products, this becomes even more valuable for higher-ticket items where the per-wear value is most compelling. You can check it out here: https://apps.shopify.com/weario

The psychology works really well for sustainable brands because it transforms the conversation from “expensive” to “smart investment.” Perfect fit for your brand!
