Live View Missing from computer but working on APP

anyone going to help with this?

Could you please clarify your Question. Do you mean that the live preview of the website is missing?

This is happening for me too - I know there are customers on the website, I can see the visitors count on the app but not from my desktop or laptop. It started yesterday. I also did notice last night (around 6pm MST in Canada) I had a massive (aka unusually large, unless we run a sale or send an email during Q4) spike in visitors which lasted about 20 mins (but no sales, killed my conversion that day, again very unusual). I’m hoping its an update but I haven’t seen anything.

Same. I have not had a ‘active visitor’ show on my dashboard for two days now (despite having visitors). And therefore cannot access the live view.

I found another thread and it looks like you can only see the Live view if you click through from the Analytics drop down. I am not sure why this changed and it says you can “add it back” but I have not seen how to do that/can’t figure it out anyway. Let me know what they say!

I found another thread that shows you can see it by clicking analytics and then the drop down menu has the live view. Super annoying and I hope they add it back. It did say you have to add it back in to the homepage but I can’t for the life of me figure out where this is or how to do it

I see that option but it is wrong

Visitors right now is showing 295 and app shows 3!

Plus there is not Active Carts button!

Knowing Shopify’s desire to make everything more complicated and take 20 more steps for the sake of making things ‘look clean’… I doubt they will give it make. It’s my strong opinion that not a single person programing at Shopify has ever actually used it like an actual user would. Otherwise they’d stop complicating our lives with more work to do the things we need daily.

update: support has shown me it is in the Analytics drop down now, so my fix is to bookmark this page separately to my browser, and he made ticket to bring it back to home page. we’ll see.

The point is we should not have to have a whole other window open, or have to take 2 extra steps just to see if there are active users. It’s such a stupid pointless move for Shopify to do. there are already buttons still there next to where it was.

@Shopify_77 Can you please fix this and return the Live View count of visitors to the same space on the Home page of admin?

As a commentor points out here, we shouldn’t have to click through (or bookmark) another area to see something almost EVERY user finds helpful.

Well. The little count finally returned to the dashboard home screen. But once again they have made terrible changes to the live view screen. If @Shopify_77 insists on making terrible and constant changes, why can they not give us the ability to customize the dashboards to how WE need it to be. They are constantly making things more difficult. The point of a LIVE view is to see what is currently happening. So why would you hide the LIVE stats (carts, checking out, checked out) at the bottom of the screen so we have to scroll down to see it???

EXACTLY, my sentiments.

Customer Behavior you have to scroll down and the familiar circles lit up are gone!! So disappointing.

Why not put customer behavior, people checking out at the top and center. We need THAT !!! @Shopify_77
