I have a dropshipping store. I am using dsers. I just started. I added a beautiful dress to my site. someone just bought it . as i was mapping it, i realized that the aliexpress product looks like it has fake reviews. I cannot find a supplier to map that has this dress that doesn’t have questionable reviews. I have a bad feeling and I am not shipping this product to my customer. I am going to reach out and deal with the customer service aspect.
It is still a beautiful dress and it is a new style. I’d like to think a more reputable or better version might come along, or i just haven’t found it yet. I understand that if I held the product at my “location” i could mark it as sold out, or even certain variants as sold out. However, when you are using a drop shipper, it says “Quantity managed by dsers-fulfillment-service”. I doesn’t allow me to make any edits.
Is there a way to mark my product as out of stock, preferably the words “sold out”, make it impossible for customer to purchase, but leave it in my store? Without help, or whatever, you would need from dsers to edit stock numbers?
I do understand I might just have to remove the product all together, but I thought there might be a way

I’m a drop shipper and I use several suppliers. Sometimes depending on the product availability, I have to change the location where the item is supplied and if it is out of stock or I want to make it out of stock, I change it to my location. Have you tried going into “product edit” in your store dashboard and changing the location of where the item is stocked? This should allow you to change item location, which will allow you to change available quantities yet still leave the item in your store.
HI there. Thank you for your response. I am not sure where you are going in Shopify? Do you mean inside the specific product information page near the bottom that says “shop location”? See screen shot. It wont allow me to touch much but the dropdown meanu. I can choose shop location, but it just says inventory is not stocked at Shop location.
When you are in the product information page you should be able to click on each variant. It will open the variant page such as in my screenshot image. From here you should be able to choose your stocking location such as shown in my other screenshot image. Once you’ve changed the location and saved it you should be able to update the quantity. You can also view this short video for an additional option on changing your stock location in bulk.
