My domain has Cloudfare Proxy problem

I am receiving the same message I just purchased my domain name through Shopify. I also do not have a Cloudflare account. I also don’t see any cloud flare logos anywhere.

I am also having a domain name Cloudflare proxy error. I purchased my domain name right through Shopify. I also do not have a Cloudflare account and can’t seem to find any solid information for resolving this issue.

Hello, I am facing exact same problem, however I don’t have any cloudflare account. I have purchased my domain from squarespace but there is absolutely no indication of cloudflare on their website at all. What can I do in this case? Thanks

Hi, I found a cloudflare proxy in the settings of my browser and disabled
it. I use Opera for my browser. not sure yet if it fixed the problem since
it takes up to 48hrs for the DNS update. hope this helps

Helllllp! Did you resolve this problem yet? there is nothign related to cloudflare. I purchased my domain through dynadot it’s the same. “your domain has a cloudflare Proxy, which is not supported by shopify”

Hey guys, as an update - I waited 24 hours and the issue was gone. I had contacted Shopify support tho and flagged the issue as urgent, I believe they had a look at my case and might have accelerated the domain validation whatsoever.

Hey,

I hope you’re doing well. As soon as my domain was verified, in 2 days the
proxy problem was resolved by itself. I hope yours gets fixed soon as well.
Thanks

Other than being under Settings in your browser, can you tell us where exactly in Settings it was please?

I have run into the same issue, and it seems that you can run your site here https://cf.sjr.org.uk/tools/check?f4ea569525c7407abce7846ae20def0a#dns and see if it’s an actual issue, I saw many posts including this whole thread of people having the same issue and ended up being a false alarm. (Cloudflare issue)

I faced the same issue with the Cloudflare proxy after linking my domain to my account. Here’s what worked for me: I went into my browser’s settings where I had opened my Shopify account. Then, I navigated to Settings > Network & Internet > Proxy. I noticed that the automatic proxy setup was enabled, so I turned it off. After refreshing my Shopify account, the proxy issue was resolved.

Thanks,

I’m having the same issue and it has been over 2 months and still not resolved. I have tried getting help on the community but no response.

Hello, can you explain in which settings you went into to solve this? in the settings of chrome?

There are 2 common reasons:

  1. If you have a cloudflare account, the DNS setting for A or CName record have proxy enabled. Just go in to DNS management and disable.

  2. Your cloudflare account is banned or has a billing issue. Open a cloudflare ticket and ask them to fix

Sometimes your provider in the backend uses cloudflare so open a ticket with them as well

For full detail, i made a video explainer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_KnEZaP2Us and article at https://onescales.com/blogs/main/solving-shopify-domain-cloudflare-proxy-issue

Did u find out the Solution ?? I’m facing the same issue..

OK so this is getting old fast.

My domains have been directed to Shopify for well over a year. Suddenly today the domains are all in error stating there is a Cloudflare proxy and that Cloudflare is “not supported by Shopify”. I chatted with support and they promised that once I changed an A record to a different IP the error would go away. It didn’t, even though DNS lookup shows the change is in effect.

Here’s the interesting part. When I refreshed my Shopify admin page to check if any errors were cleared (and they weren’t). A verification page asked me to confirm I am human and it is driven by Cloudflare. WT? You don’t suppose your own system SHOPIFY is detecting itself as an issue?

I’ll look forward to a non sensical answer first I suppose.
