New order email not being sent - Problem with emails just started

Last week or so I’ve got a problem with emails from Shopify. I’ve stopped getting New Order email notification. Also, abandoned cart emails stopped automatically being sent, and even the “Test Email” from marketing (Newsletter) didn’t get sent.

However, I do get the test email when I send it myself from settings!

Is anyone else getting this problem? Check your abandoned carts and see if the emails were sent or not.

I’ve been using Shopify for years without much issue. My email account is working just fine. I believe this is a problem on Shopify side.

First, you can do a test order and check if your email lands in Spam/Junk Inbox.

Second,

If you are using a 3rd party domain, it is very likely they are not set up correctly and that is the reason the notification emails are not being delivered. This is something you can check with your URL here. Adding Shopify’s SPF & custom DKIM record should resolve this for you going forward. To do this, should use an email address associated with a custom domain and add a special kind of text record (TXT) to your domain called an SPF record.

v=spf1 include:shops.shopify.com ~all is the official SPF record that Shopify uses. You should add an @ as the name of their new TXT record.

If it does not work then, you should reach out to the Shopify Support team directly via their Help Center using this link.
