No Reply from Shopify Expert. Job is 2 Weeks Past Estimated Completion Date

After interviewing 4-5 candidates on Hire Shopify Expert, we hired a Shopify Expert to build our store in late Dec. Shopify Expert has 4.9 rating. We are a drop shipper using a supplier, who has integrated their live inventory feeds with Shopify. That’s why we choose both companies. I specifically asked the Shopify Expert whether they were experienced with 1) drop shipping, 2) live inventory API feeds. They said Yes.

Estimated completion was 5 weeks. We are entering Week 7 (mid Feb now), and our store is still not finished. We have even performed some of the work we PAID the Shopify Expert to do. I’ve contacted the Shopify Expert via both Shopify Expert Messages and email. Communications is well documented in Shopify Expert Messages. No replies, NOTHING.

Question to Shopify - can I close the job? We have already paid 50% and NOT looking for a refund. We just want to part ways with this Shopify Expert. Hopefully, we won’t make the same mistake twice by hiring another Shopify Expert. We already missed Valentines Day as a shopping experience.
